Project Description: Technofella was retained by Volusion to help with a number of Technical and Business issues consistent with rapid growth of the company. Critical elements of the engagement centered on establishing Short-Term, Mid-Term and Long-Term business development and product strategies based on Software as Service (SAAS), Platform as Service (PAAS) and Information as Service (IAAS) technical foundation. Strategies developed by Technofella included Pricing Model, Competitive Model, Product Positioning, Branding, Business Vision, Monetization and Marketplace establishment, promotion and implementation. The engagement also included a redesign of the aging software base. Technofella spearheaded a complete redesign of an entire Technology Platform. It was coupled with restructuring existing (Development, IT) and establishing several new departments and groups (QA, Release Engineering, Database Administrations, Project Management, Product Management).
